The original painting was 8x10, and in Gouache paint and oil pastel, based off of an original photo by the artist, Lori Moore Bergbower.

The Carnegie Building: Funded by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie in 1904 and designed in the Classical Revival style. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The historic water fountain in Library Park is a centerpiece of the grounds, dating back to the late 19th century (1800s).
History & Design: Built with turn-of-the-century craftsmanship, it features an ornamental, tiered design flanked by classic details. It is frequently highlighted by locals for its iconic lion accents that tie into the historic aesthetic of the surrounding Classical Revival style Carnegie building. Restoration: Over the years, the fountain weathered considerable wear and tear. However, it underwent a major community refurbishment and restoration project spearheaded by local civic leaders and the Litchfield Chamber of Commerce.
Today, the fully functioning, restored fountain serves as a scenic backdrop for the park's visitors. It sits immediately adjacent to the Litchfield Veterans Memorial Garden, making it a popular spot downtown to relax, take photos, or sit on nearby park benches.
